Announcement: July 25th & 26th Eitan Beth-Halachmy will be coming to do a two day "Cowboy Dressage Clinic" at Beaver Run Arena in Punxsutawney Pa. Check out his web site at
www.cowboydressage.com Eitan & his Morgan Stallion "Holiday Compadre" are well known all over the United States for their special brand of horsemanship to music known as "Cowboy Dressage" blending both the beauty and control of Classical Dressage with the speed and excitement of Reining. Large Animal Rescue Training

The West Virginia Equine Association is proud to host a Large Animal Rescue Training July 11 & 12, 2009 at the West Virginia Fire Academy in Weston, WV. The clinic is a two-day program for emergency responders as well as horse owners and the general public.

Days End Farm Horse Rescue will be conducting the training and is a nationally recognized leader in the rescue, recovery, care and treatment of horses and have extensive knowledge and expertise in helping large animals.

TEAM PENNING - Saturday, July 4th and Sunday, July 5th at Crooked Creek Hose Park, Ford City, PA
It is time for our once a year team penning event. Load up the family and head to Ford City for the holiday weekend. We have great camping, stalls and a lot of fun sorting and penning. Cost is $4 per rider per practice run. We will have a draw pot both nights. Cost for draw pot is $8 per rider per run. Saturday will feature a big Family Style Picnic during the dinner break. Stalls and camping are available for rent. Stalls are $10 total for both Fri and Sat nights - we clean them - bring your own bedding. Camping with water/electric is $15 per day - first come first served - no pre-reservations accepted. Primitive camping (no water/elec) always available at no charge. Food for sale on-site both days. We have plenty of people willing to ride with you. You do not need a team of 3 to ride. We will help you team up with other penners. POKER RIDE - SUNDAY - JULY 5 at Crooked Creek Horse Park, Ford City PA
Ride will benefit Operation Return Home - a support group that prepares and ships care packages to deployed troops. Ride runs RAIN OR SHINE. Ride entry fee is $15 in advance (postmarked by June 26th) or $20 at the door. A second hand can be purchased for $5 (no rider/horse substitutions). Walk Trot, Youth and Open Division. Trophies to high point winner and ribbons for 1st through 5th place. Jackpot for Open Barrels!!! Everybody is welcome. Plenty of parking so bring your friends. Concessions will be available. Dates for 2009 Season are May 16th, and 31st June 14th, and 27th July 11th, and 26th Sept 13th, and 27th and Oct 10th, and 25th Show begins at 9:00AM for Walk Trot, 1:00PM for Youth and 5:30PM Open Class Begins

Mountain Valley Trail Riders, Judged Trail Ride
Mountain Valley Trail Riders will be hosting our annual Judged Trail Ride. Location Mingo Creek Park, Area 10 shelter. You can arrive on Friday 6/26 after 4 p.m. and camp out with us thru the weekend. The actual JTR is on Sunday 6/28. Riding starts at 9 a.m. 10 obstacles located on approximately 3 hr trail ride. We will have trophies and ribbons awarded in rider age groups and horse breed/age groups. Call Roger at 724-228-7203 evenings to get on our mailing list.
