Hnysa, which means "curious" in Icelandic, is a large, well proportioned filly that lives up to her name. She is very curious & brave, extremely willing & eager to please. Hnysa currently stands just over 12.3 HH - a very good size for a three year old Icelandic filly. She was evaluated during the "Young Horse Evaluation Tour" in October 2009 by International Breeding Judge Barbara Frische, receiving very good marks for conformation & movement. The judge's comments read: "Very willing, spirited mare with long strides. Clear beat in trot & tolt." Hnysa is by the First Prize stallion, Throstur fra Innri-Skeljabrekku, who is well known for his performances at the Equine Affaires in OH & MA. Her dam is the First Prize mare Glod fra Vodmulastodum. This is a well bred filly with a great amount of potential as both a show & pleasure horse. Hnysa has an excellent foundation of age appropriate training, & is now beginning her groundwork in preparation for saddle training. She is easy to handle & is excellent for the vet & farrier. Hnysa is UTD on all vaccines, deworming, farrier & dental & has a current negative Coggins. She is microchipped using the AVID system. Hnysa is currently priced at 7500.
